Abstract Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a complicated, interpersonally defined, static condition of the underdeveloped brain. Although the aetiology of autism remains unclear, disturbance of neuron-glia interactions has lately been proposed as a significant event in the pathophysiology of ASD.
