Jaundice caused by primary common bile duct lymphoma of a cat

Abstract A 10-year-old American Shorthair cat presented with anorexia and jaundice, and echogenic evaluation revealed diffuse thickening of the common bile duct (CBD) wall. An exploratory laparotomy was conducted, the lesion was evaluated as difficult to remove, and the cat was euthanized and autopsied. Histologically, round neoplastic cells proliferated in the mucosa of the CBD and infiltrated the hepatic lobe, pancreas, and duodenum. Immunohistochemistry revealed that the neoplastic cells were positive for cytoplasmic-CD3 and granzyme B, and TCR-gamma clonal rearrangement
