Abstract BACKGROUND: Cannabis sativa L. (hemp) is a medicinal plant producing various cannabinoids. Its consumption is legalized for medical use due to the alleged positive health effects of these cannabinoids. To satisfy the demand, C. sativa plants are propagated in contained growth chambers.
