Abstract Background: Comorbidity between alcohol use disorder (AUD) and post‐traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) exacerbates symptom severity and worsens treatment outcomes. Limited clinical research suggests that cannabidiol (CBD) may have therapeutic effects on anxiety disorders and addictive behavior, but efficacy has not been established.
