Definitive urine drug testing in emergency medicine: Recreational and psychiatric drug findings
Abstract Definitive testing for recreational drugs in emergency medicine demonstrates clinical value. Presumptive immunoassay testing limits drug detection and has high false-negative rate. Addition of antipsychotic testing reveals significant multi-serotonergic drug-usage. Study supports need for expanded ED drug testing using definitive methods.
