Enzo Laurenti

Short biography: Born in Torino, Italy. Degree in Biological Science and Ph.D in Chemistry at University of Torino (Italy). Former experiences/positions: Research fellowship at the Department of Inorganic and Metallorganic Chemistry , University of Milano (Italy) and at the Department of Biochemistry and Nutrition, Technical University of Denmark. Research interests: Preparation and characterization of hybrid bio-organic/inorganic materials containing immobilized metal-enzymes for the degradation of water pollutants. Enzymatic degradation of dyes and polyhalogenated phenols. Characterization of metal binding sites by UV visible and EPR spectroscopy in proteins and mimicking complexes. Identification of radical intermediates generated during enzymatic and photocatalytic reactions.
