Researcher profile
Dr Md Jahirul Islam
Both Project Management and Research are my passion because these contribute to the goals and success of any company. Ph.D at Griffith University, Australia has widened my insights on logical thinking, leadership quality, project management, analytical skills, research and information management, and communication skills. Being a certified Project Management Professional (PMP®, PRINCE2®), these features are currently being applied extensively in my daily activities. The most attractive side of my career is the interdisciplinary background that includes social science, criminology & criminal justice, public policy, public health, and environmental sciences. It gives me a considerable opportunity to effectively apply my cross-disciplinary knowledge and expertise in policy & planning and project management. I possess a high level of skills in designing questionnaires, administering large-scale survey research, longitudinal and cross-sectional data analysis, and policy review. I research and publish in the area of family violence and health outcomes, abuse during and after pregnancy, childhood maltreatment, gender and inequality, maternal and child nutrition, and police attitudes and responses to family violence, More than 18 years of my professional and research experience provides me an opportunity to work with the local and central government, development partners, industries, non-government organizations, researchers, and communities in Bangladesh and abroad.
