Dong Zhang

Dr. Dong Zhang is a professor of cancer biology, the Director of Center for Cancer Research, and the director of DO/PhD program at the College of Osteopathic Medicine, New York Institute of Technology. Dong teaches medical biochemistry and specializes in cancer biology, cell biology, and molecular biology. The research in Dong'a lab focuses on DNA damage response, DNA repair, telomere biology and cancer therapeutics. Dong received his PhD degree in biochemistry and molecular biology from Brandeis University. His thesis advisor is the Nobel Laureate, Dr. Michael Rosbash. Dong did his postdoctoral training at Baylor College of Medicine and Harvard Medical School in the lab of Dr. Stephen Elledge.
