Elżbieta Janowska-Renkas
- Author and co-author of ca. 90 papers published in journals or conference materials. A number of papers: over 30, including for international. Participation in 13 grants and scientific and research and investment projects implemented by State Committee for Scientific Research (KBN) in Poland and abroad, among others with Universities of Technology in Prague, Brno, Ostrava – financed by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and EU funds. A number of master and engineer diploma thesis supervised: over 120. Research areas - Testing the impact of mineral additives and chemical admixtures on rheological properties of cement pastes and hydration - Testing the impact of fineness of mineral additives in cement on rheological properties of cement pastes in presence of superplasticizer - Testing the chemical structure of polycarboxylate superplasticizers - Testing the impact of cement phase composition with particular consideration of sulphate ions SO42- on effectiveness of superplasticizers in cement pastes - Testing of acid corrosion of cement and ash materials Research and scientific interests of Associate Professor Elżbieta Janowska-Renkas focuses on areas: - Fluid rheology, including pastes, mortars and concrete mixes, - Calorimetry that covers hydration process of modified binders with mineral additives and chemical admixtures, - Testing the properties of concrete and concrete mixes with addition of nano-additives in a form of hydrophilic and hydrophobic nano-silica, - Corrosion of binding materials, including materials containing fly ash from fluidized bed combustion, - Testing the impact of correlation between a chemical structure of polycarboxylate superplasticizer and its effectiveness in cement pastes (a subject matter covering a habilitation thesis - post-doctoral dissertation). - Technology of production of: nanoconcrete, lightweight concrete, polymer-based concrete, hemp concrete, geopolymers with waste glass powder.
