Gaspar MM

Manuela Gaspar is a team member of the research group "Nanomedicines and Biomedical Imaging group" at the Research Institute for Medicines (iMed.ULisboa), Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Lisbon. The research has been focused on design, development and biological evaluation of drug delivery systems for improving the therapeutic index of incorporated molecules in infectious, inflammatory and cancer animal models. Conception and development of appropriated systems for alternative routes of administration of developed nanoformulations. Establishment of methodologies for assessing the in vivo profile of nanoformulations. In vitro screening of new synthesized molecules with antitumor activity. Preclinical assays with potential anticancer new molecules.
