Md.Mohaimenul Islam

I am a computational health scientist and pharmacoepidemiologist whose research program is built on a single conviction: machine learning is most powerful when it is equitable, explainable, and ready for deployment in real clinical settings. Over a decade spanning Taiwan, Ohio, Iowa, and now Buffalo, I have built predictive and analytical tools across the full cardiometabolic spectrum from early diabetes and chronic kidney disease to heart failure, cancer, and medication safety always centering the question of fairness across racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic strata. My work has been recognized internationally: I have been named among the top 2% of researchers worldwide in health informatics and pharmacoepidemiology for four consecutive years, and my publications have accumulated over 4,000 citations. As an NIH-funded co-investigator, principal investigator on submitted grants, and contributor to American Heart Association and American Diabetes Association proposals, I am actively building an independent research program that connects AI innovation to health equity outcomes.
