Caroline Copeland

I am a newly appointed Lecturer in Pharmaceutical Medicine at King's College London. Research: I run the National Programme on Substance Abuse Deaths (NPSAD) database, which has been collecting information regarding deaths in the UK since 1997. NPSAD records comprise those where a psychoactive substance (both pharmaceutical medications and illicit drugs) was detected at post-mortem and/or where the decedent was a known abuser of drugs. I use this data in my research, and also provide analysis for policy bodies. Teaching: I lead modules and teach on the Clinical Pharmacology and Drug Development MSc courses at King's College London. I also provide teaching as an ad hoc Lecturer at the Florida State University London Study Centre on basic biology.
