Researcher profile
Antonella Trotta
I am a Clinical Psychologist and Psychoanalyst and my research aims to identify biological and environmental risk factors associated with the development and course of severe mental illnesses. I have been involved in a number of projects which address this broad aim. I completed a PhD investigating gene-environment interaction in the development and course of psychosis. As a Research Fellow I have investigated the interplay between childhood adversity, inflammatory biomarkers and psychotic symptoms in childhood and young adulthood. I am currently a Senior Lecturer in Psychotherapy at the Institute of Psychiatry Psychology and Neuroscience at King's College London.
