Researcher profile
Lisa Wood
I am a Consultant Clinical Academic Psychologist and NIHR Clinical Fellow in North East London NHS Foundation Trust, and a Clinical Associate Professor at University College London. I have a specialist interest in working with people in acute mental health crisis, particularly those who experience psychosis. My research interests broadly relate to improving acute mental health care and developing psychological interventions for those with psychosis, particularly those from underserved communities. Recent projects include adapting Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for psychosis for inpatient settings, evaluating a crisis planning intervention for those sectioned under the Mental Health Act, and examining the use of digital suicide interventions for people receiving care from Home Treatment Teams to see if they can help reduce future hospital admissions. I am also a lecturer on a Clinical Mental Health Sciences MSc at UCL.
