Dominic Albert Nkhoma
I am an economist with 22 years of experience in public policy analysis, development monitoring, evaluation and research gained within the health, nutrition and agriculture sectors. I have vast experience in the public sector, academia and consulting. My core competencies are in the areas of health economics, health financing, public financial management assessments, resource tracking surveys, public sector reforms, strategy and program design, project management, planning, budgeting/costing, social determinants of health, designing Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) systems, designing and implementing evaluations. Since 2018, I have facilitated with great success the development of health economics capacity and policy engagement capacity for the Malawi health sector. I have great conceptual abilities, team building, and leadership skills that are highly valued. I was the lead consultant for the reform oriented and results driven Malawi HSSP III which is highly regarded by Government and Donors. I am a Thanzi la Mawa Senior Health Research Fellow and have also provided consultancy services to different organizations including the Malawi Ministry of Health, Ethiopian Ministry of Health (through OPM/M4H), SADC Parliamentary Forum, World Bank Group, UNICEF, UNAIDS, WHO, ODI, MSF, Seed Global Health and GiZ.
