Jules AAC Heuberger
Jules is a registered Clinical Pharmacologist with over 11 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry. He has been involved in the design and execution of over forty early phase trials (healthy volunteers and patients). Jules acted as PI on several studies and was lead or senior author of over twenty peer-reviewed papers. He has a broad passion for clinical pharmacology, with specific expertise in neurology. Jules is committed to creating value in clinical trials and improve decision-making by maximizing the understanding of a compound. Over the course of his career, he successfully collaborated with dozens of companies, both Big Pharma and Biotech. He thoroughly enjoys these collaborations, making use of his analytical skills, his strong communication, and being a team player. Prior to joining Curare Consulting, Jules was associate Research Director of the Experimental Medicine & Pain research group at the Centre for Human Drug Research. In this role he developed his own research line, focussed on implementing pharmacodynamic biomarkers in early phase trials, collaborating with multifunctional teams, and leading a team of scientists. Jules obtained his PhD (Leiden University, 2019) on a topic combining his passion for sports and work, titled: The clinical pharmacology of performance enhancement and doping detection in sports. He became a board-certified clinical pharmacologist at the Centre for Human Drug Research in 2019, and graduated in Bio-Pharmaceutical Sciences from Leiden University in 2013.
