Researcher profile
Anoop Shah
I am a clinical cardiologist and epidemiologist at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and the Imperial College NHS Trust. I studied medicine at the University of Edinburgh, followed by specialist clinical training in cardiovascular medicine. I completed my doctoral studies evaluating the use of cardiac biomarkers within cardiovascular medicine. I am from Kenya and most of my work now relates to cardiovascular disease in the African region. This includes applied health research evaluating clinical service delivery and decision support systems to improve cardiovascular outcomes alongside mechanistic research investigating the links between infective pathology and cardiovascular disease.
