Amy Price

Dr. Amy Price worked as a Neurocognitive Rehabilitation consultant and in International Missions before sustaining serious injury and years of rehabilitation. She emerged with a goal to build a bridge between research methodology, research involvement, and public engagement where the public is trained and empowered to be equal partners in health research. Amy’s experience has shown her that shared knowledge, interdisciplinary collaboration, and evidence-based research will shape and develop the future. Dr. Price currently serves as a Senior Research Scientist at Dartmouth and as an editor at The BMJ. Additionally, she is a researcher, clinician, citizen scientist development expert, and research editor (Patient and Public Partnership) for BMJ. Her main areas of research are in research methods, public health, epidemiology, the use of technology, curiosity, and empathy to engage patients in their own care and research. Dr. Price has worked extensively to build bridges for sustainable public and patient involvement in co-production, evidence-based methodology, guideline and policy development, and research reporting.
