Darren A Brown OBE

Darren Brown OBE is a multi-award-winning healthcare professional whose career spans clinical excellence, strategic leadership, and inclusive advocacy. Appointed Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the King’s Birthday Honours 2024, Darren is recognised for his services to the NHS, people living with HIV and people with Long COVID. A Fellow of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, Darren’s global impact is reflected in his clinical, academic and strategic contributions across healthcare, academia and the pharmaceutical industry. Darren is a skilled educator, communicator, and strategist, known for his organisational ability to manage complex priorities and foster collaboration across diverse teams. He champions equity, diversity, and belonging in every initiative, with a particular focus on disability inclusion. His expertise includes international collaboration, knowledge translation, and public speaking. He is widely published in peer-reviewed literature, spanning quantitative and qualitative methods, with contributions to national and international standards, policies and guidelines - including two WHO guidelines.
