Dr Serena Luchenski, BSc, MSc, PhD, FFPH

I am Director of the UCL Collaborative Centre for Inclusion Health, a Public Health Consultant, and Co‑Director of the UCL Online Master of Public Health. My work focuses on improving health and access to care for people experiencing social exclusion, such as those affected by homelessness, drug use, sex work, and imprisonment. I hold honorary consultant roles with UCLH, the Office for Health Improvement and Disparities, and the UK Health Security Agency, and I serve as a Public Health Fellow for the Pathway charity. My research blends epidemiology, mixed‑methods, and co‑production, and I work closely with NHS, UKHSA and voluntary‑sector partners to translate evidence into practice. I am also lead co‑editor of the first Inclusion Health textbook, reflecting my longstanding commitment to building the field. I became a Fellow of the Faculty of Public Health after completing the London Public Health Training Scheme (UKPHR FR0875). Originally from Canada, I trained in epidemiology at McGill University and studied biology at the University of Victoria.
