Edeildo Silva-Júnior

Edeildo Ferreira da Silva-Júnior has a Post-Doc degree by the Pharmaceutical Sciences Institute and a Ph.D. degree in Chemistry and Biotechnology both of these obtained at the Federal University of Alagoas, Maceio, Brazil. He performed part of his Ph.D. research at the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz - Germany. Additionally, he has a bachelor degree in Pharmacy and Master degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences. He acts as a reviewer for several scientific Journals in Medicinal Chemistry, Biotechnology, Organic Synthesis, and Pharmacology fields. Actually, he is a Professor at the Federal University of Alagoas (Brazil) and he has been working in the medicinal chemistry area, more specifically on drug development of novel actives compounds against Trypanosoma cruzi, Leishmania chagasi, Zika, Dengue, and Chikungunya.
