Bettina Moltrecht

Bettina is a PhD Candidate at the Evidence Based Practice Unit (EBPU), based across University College London and the Anna Freud National Centre. Her research focuses on the role of emotion regulation as a transdiagnostic factor in the prevention and treatment of youth psychopathology. As part of her PhD she explores innovative, technology-based approaches (mobile-applications) to enhance emotion regulation skills in young people. Bettina completed both her BSc in Psychology (University of Groningen) and her Research Master degree in Clinical Neuroscience (Maastricht University) in the Netherlands. During her Master she joined the Emotion and Emotion Regulation Lab at the University of California, Berkeley as a visiting scholar, where she investigated the effects of MBCT on emotion regulation. In the same year Bettina conducted extensive policy research on existing mental health provision in schools across Europe. Bettina also gained experience as a clinical psychologist when she worked with children and adults in Germany.
