Researcher profile
Bryan Moreno-Chamba
I hold an International PhD title in Health Biotechnology with honors and Cum Laude distinction from Miguel Hernández University of Elche (UMH). My research focuses on bioactive compounds derived from natural sources, their interactions with the human microbiome, and their potential applications in health, particularly in nutraceutical development. I have conducted international research stay in Scotland (Rowett Institute, University of Aberdeen) and Gdańsk (Gdańsk Tech University), and worked along with researchers from Mexico, Rusia, Canada, fostering collaborations and advancing the study of bioactive compounds. Currently, I am a Research fellow member at UMH, working on bioactive extracts from by-products at Dr. Nuria Martí’s research group. Simultaneously, I am pursuing an independent PhD program at Universidad Politécnica de Valencia to study the effects of in/soluble polysaccharides in gut health. In addition to research, I have extensive teaching experience, having led courses in food microbiology, environmental biotechnology, and chemical analysis of food, plus tutored over 15 bachelor and master's final projects.
