Anna Schultze

I am a pharmacoepidemiologist based in the Bennett Institute for Applied Data Science at the University of Oxford researching drug and vaccine safety. My research interests are both methodological and applied, and include causal inference methodology, quantitative bias analysis and case-only designs. Since 2024, I've been a member of the MHRA Pharmacovigilance Expert Advisory Group (PEAG). Before joining the Bennett Institute, I was an assistant professor at LSHTM, and worked as an epidemiologist in the pharmaceutical industry where I led post-authorisation safety and comparative effectiveness studies. I completed a PhD in epidemiology at UCL in 2017, focusing on HIV drug resistance, and also hold an MSc in Epidemiology from LSHTM and a BSc in Human Sciences from UCL.
