Researcher profile
Claudia Pischke
Prof. Pischke has long-standing experience in conducting quantitative and qualitative research evaluating the implementation and effects of complex, population-based interventions for the prevention of chronic non-communicable diseases and health promotion. In systematic literature reviews and (controlled) intervention trials, she was able to identify needs and preferences of different populations regarding intervention content, composition, and modality and demonstrate effectiveness of various intervention approaches. Recently, she led a research consortium replicating implementation and evaluation of a Belgian complex intervention for the promotion of physical activity. This line of research continues with a current study examining the impact of improved urban bicycle infrastructure on physical activity and health.
