Anaïs Lacasse
Anaïs Lacasse, PhD, is a full professor at the University of Quebec in Abitibi-Témiscamingue (UQAT) in Rouyn-Noranda. She directs UQAT’s Institutional Research Chair in Chronic Pain Epidemiology, focusing on real-world medication and healthcare utilization trajectories, survey and health administrative data linkage, and sex, gender, and other sociodemographic differences in pain treatment. She also has a particular interest in the validation of measurement instruments to strengthen research capacity in pain. Dr. Lacasse serves as Clinical Affairs co-director of the Quebec Pain Research Network (QPRN) and co-director of the Optimal Use Axis of the Quebec Network on Drug Research. Her excellence in graduate supervision has been recognized multiple times, notably with the Canadian Pain Society Outstanding Pain Mentorship Award in 2023.
