Silvia Restrepo
I am a biologist interested in plant pathology and the diversity of fungi. For over 25 years, I have researched potato and cassava diseases and described the microbial diversity hidden in plants or soils. I have also taught several courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels and advised 60 Master's and 11 Ph.D. students. I have also held administrative positions such as Dean of the School of Sciences and Vice-President for Research and Creation at Universidad de los Andes in Bogota, Colombia. Currently, I am the President of the Boyce Thompson Institute in Ithaca, NY, USA.
