Thiago Viola

Professor and advisor for Master’s and Doctoral students in the Graduate Programs in Medicine and Health Sciences and in Pediatrics and Child Health at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS). Research Coordinator at the School of Medicine at PUCRS. Associate Researcher at the Preclinical Research Center of the Brain Institute of Rio Grande do Sul (InsCer). My research focuses on epigenetic, neurobiological, cognitive, and behavioral investigations in mental health, with particular emphasis on vulnerability and resilience to adverse developmental experiences, as well as substance use disorders in adolescence and adulthood.
