Behrooz Z. Alizadeh

Proceeding in his clinical practice (1997–2000), he embarked on a profound academic odyssey by completing an extensive MSc and Ph.D. in the intricate realm of the genetic epidemiology of complex diseases (2000–2004); subsequently, he delved into post-doctoral (2004–2008), immersing himself in the complex domains of functional genomics and genome sequencing. Ever since 2009, relishing his clinical and epidemiological multi-disciplinary qualifications, he has led various national and international research projects. He utilizes a judicious integration of advanced methodologies, complex data modeling, and genetic epidemiological techniques. More recently, he has incorporated comparative machine-learning techniques into his repertoire. This comprehensive methodology has been harnessed to dissect and elucidate multi-dimensional genetic, clinical (treatment), and societal data. The overarching objective is to provide prognostic insights into patient outcomes and their responsiveness to therapeutic interventions in the context of psychosis and cancer. Over the past 18 years (since 2005), he has diligently mentored and overseen the academic pursuits of more than 30 doctoral and master's students. His intellectual contributions have manifested in the publication of 200 research works, with the majority of them gracing prestigious Q1 journals and even attaining the pinnacle of recognition in the form of top-ranked scientific publications.
