Ricardo Jorge Dinis-Oliveira
• Graduated in Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2003 from the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Porto. From the same institution, he obtained his Ph.D. in toxicology in 2007. • By Rector Dispatch obtained in 2008 the title of European PhD • Attendance of the COHiTEC 2007 program organized by the Porto Business School in collaboration with North Carolina State University. • Attendance of the Entrepreneurship Course organized by the Porto Business School in collaboration with the Innovation University of Porto (UPIN). • In 2009 he completed the Forensic Medicine Postgraduation Course (current Specialization Course in Forensic Expertise) from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto (FMUP). • Successfully approved two post-doctoral projects in Clinical and Forensic Toxicology by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology in 2010 and 2013, respectively. • By unanimity, in 2012, he took his Habilitation (Aggregation) in Forensic Sciences at FMUP, being one the youngest professors at the University of Porto to achieve this last academic degree. • Holds a certificate in Basic Life Support and Automated External Defibrillation and has attended several other continuing education courses in the pedagogical and scientific fields. • Also in 2012, he obtained the Registration as Teacher Trainer in the domain A11-Health Sciences Domain. • He is a member of the Coordinating Committee of the 3rd Cycles of Biomedical Sciences and 3rd Cycle of Studies of Toxicology of IUCS-CESPU. • He has supervised several Integrated Master’s dissertations, Master’s dissertations, and Doctoral theses. • He is a member of the Editorial Board and Ambassador of several International Scientific Journals in the areas of Health and Life Sciences, performing some of the functions of Editor-in-Chief. • He is the author of more than 220 articles published (representing more than 5000 citations) in international journals, indexed by peer review, and author of about 40 book chapters, 4 books, and 4 national and 3 international patents. Some of these publications were awarded with prizes in the most diverse areas, such as the publication of his curricular summary in an international scientific journal. • He is a Scientific consultant for the pharmaceutical development company of Avextra Pharma GmbH • He is the Technical-Scientific Director of the Center of forensic expertise FOREN.pt • He was the director of Medical Writing Consulting at MTG - Data Science Machine Learning Real-World Evidence. • He has been an A3ES expert since 2019 for Cycle of Studies evaluation. • It has been since October 2022 a member of the Scientific Council of A3ES by appointment of the Portuguese Association of Private Higher Education (APESP). • In 2021, 2022, and 2023, he integrated the World’s Top 2% Scientists list, which ranks the most highly cited scientists. • Made several interventions in the national press as a result of his scientific and pedagogical activity and is responsible for the design and coordination of several web pages. • He is the Director of the Research Unit 1H-TOXRUN – One Health Toxicology Research Unit of IUCS-CESPU and integrated researcher of UCIBIO – Applied Molecular Biosciences Unit. At the UCIBIO, he is currently the Leader of the Research Lab in Translational Toxicology and Coordinator of the Research Group in Toxicology • He is currently Director of the Department of Sciences, Coordinator of the 1st Cycle of Studies in Forensic Sciences, Coordinator of the 1st Cycle of Studies in Biomedical Sciences, and Co-coordinator of the 2nd Cycle of Studies in Forensic Sciences and of IUC-CESPU. He is also the coordinator of the 2nd and 3rd Cycle of Studies in Forensic Sciences of FMUP. • He is the founder and current President of the Portuguese Association of Forensic Sciences (APCF) and was Vice-president of the Portuguese Society for the Study of Abuse and Neglect (SPECAN). • The current h index is approximately 40, depending on the calculation platform.
