Víctor De la Peña-Arteaga
Medical doctor and postdoctoral researcher with strong background in mental health, neuroscience and neuroimaging. Graduated from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (Mexico) obtaining medical license and degree in 2011. Obtained two postgraduate diplomas in pharmacology and adolescents’ health. Master degree of addiction studies in 2017 from King’s College London (United Kingdom). Doctoral degree in medicine and translational research in 2022 from the University of Barcelona (Spain) with international mention. Acknowledged for obtaining a highly competitive financially supported fellowship in Spain to complete the doctoral studies (La Caixa Foundation - INPhINIT incoming) during 3 years. Research skills in behavior and mental health biology, and the ability to perform neuroimaging analyses. Eager to continue with mental health research in highly competitive academic environments. First author of four published papers in mental health international journals, mainly encompassing behavioral explorations and emotion regulation biology across different disorders. Two of these publications resulted from an international collaboration with the Life and Health Sciences Research Institute (ICVS) of the University of Minho (Portugal).
