Abstract Background: SLC16A3, a highly expressed H + -coupled symporter, facilitates lactate transport via monocarboxylate transporters (MCTs), contributing to acidosis. Although SLC16A3 has been implicated in tumor development, its role in tumor immunity remains unclear.
